CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

“CAD Analyst is the only intuitive tool that presents graphically persuasive evidence of the department’s performance. When Fire Chiefs need monies to secure equipment and redistribute resources, CAD Analyst provides persuasive reports for both equipment and personnel resources.” - Chief Roy Hamlin, City of Miami Fire Rescue Dept.

LiveMUM : Extensions

LiveMUM as an Interoperability Tool
LiveMUM can function as a vital interoperability tool to handle major disasters in the following ways:

  • By providing a live map-based view of the regional coverage during a disaster to all Communication Centers
  • By facilitating advance disaster preparedness through region-wide sharing and review of historical data
  • By serving as an inter-agency training tool

During a Disaster
The LiveMUM application provides a “war room” and area-wide perspective of the current status of resources and coverage. With real-time status information derived from the CAD, LiveMUM instantly displays color-coded maps of coverage changes both on dispatcher work stations as well as on wall-mounted maps in the Comm. Center. The color-coded maps are easy to interpret, providing a regional overview of the demands in coverage needs to all the Comm. Centers in the region.

Disaster Planning and Training
LiveMUM facilitates advanced disaster preparation by providing thorough analysis of optimal utilization of resources, and interoperability planning from historical CAD data. Decision makers, budget officials or grant suppliers can then see compelling evidence of disaster preparedness within the department/ Comm. center and enforce new interoperability agreements, and plan for more up-to-date software technologies that can better implement the utilization and planning under disaster situations.

Regional use of LiveMUM as an inter-agency training tool allows for departments to articulate and realize mutual agreements to reach practical solutions for disaster preparedness. LiveMUM can simulate a “war room” scenario using CAD data from various agencies, as a training tool to test and assess the best interoperable agreements between agencies. With the log review capability LiveMUM offers information on re-occurring patterns of coverage weaknesses, by time of day, time of week or month and create recognition and need for seasonal or calendar-related adjustments to the field.

For any repeat disasters, the tool can help evaluate how any revised agreements or practices have improved or detracted from performance. LiveMUM also provides impact analysis of these agreements, facilitating agencies to compare and apply necessary changes for enhanced information sharing mechanisms.
