Mid-West US Regional Sales Manager
Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the full scope of the sales lifecycle, from lead generation to closing of the sale within their defined territory. It is essential for the Regional Sales Manager to have thorough knowledge of Deccan’s offerings and effectively communicate detailed information about Deccan software products and services to people at all levels in Fire/EMS organizations.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Generating and developing new Fire/EMS sales leads with a “hunting” mentality
Creating and presenting professional demonstrations or presentations of company software applications and/or services, both onsite and online
Attending public safety conferences and tradeshows to network and prospect
Responding to both direct and CAD Vendor RFPs/RFIs
Taking initiative to stay up to date on new company software applications, services and procedures
Maintaining relevant info. and updates in Salesforce (Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, etc.) including forecast.
Generating and providing quotes to customers
Maintaining an expense account
Maintaining professionalism
Travel at least 50%.

Qualifications:
Proven sales and customer service skills or leadership experience in national public safety organizations, preferably within a Fire/EMS organization
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, marketing or relevant field from an accredited institution required
5+ years’ experience in outside sales or an executive level position within a public safety department with demonstrated experience in finance, technology or logistics preferred
Experience in the public safety software industry required.
3+ years of salesforce experience preferred
Able to effectively prospect new clients
Exceptional people skills and an outgoing personality
Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills
Strong team player
Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information
Positive, can-do attitude
Passion for public safety and service to community
