STEP 1:

Questionnaire

A questionnaire form will be sent to you via email. This will help us get a better understanding of your background and education and allow you an opportunity to tell us about you.

Step 3:

Test (Depending on position)

Depending on the position, you will be asked to take a test. The test is comprised of several technical and logistical skills related to the role.

Step 4:

Panel Interview

  • The panel interview consist of several members from the Deccan Team. The members are; hiring manager and some senior members of the department.

Final Interview

  • Final interviews will be scheduled with Deccan’s Department leader.

Mid-West US Regional Sales Manager

Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the full scope of the sales lifecycle, from lead generation to closing of the sale within their defined territory. It is essential for the Regional Sales Manager to have thorough knowledge of Deccan’s offerings and effectively communicate detailed information about Deccan software products and services to people at all levels in Fire/EMS organizations.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Generating and developing new Fire/EMS sales leads with a “hunting” mentality

  • Creating and presenting professional demonstrations or presentations of company software applications and/or services, both onsite and online

  • Attending public safety conferences and tradeshows to network and prospect

  • Responding to both direct and CAD Vendor RFPs/RFIs

  • Taking initiative to stay up to date on new company software applications, services and procedures

  • Maintaining relevant info. and updates in Salesforce (Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, etc.) including forecast.

  • Generating and providing quotes to customers

  • Maintaining an expense account

  • Maintaining professionalism

  • Travel at least 50%.

Proven sales and customer service skills or leadership experience in national public safety organizations, preferably within a Fire/EMS organization

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, marketing or relevant field from an accredited institution required

5+ years’ experience in outside sales or an executive level position within a public safety department with demonstrated experience in finance, technology or logistics preferred

Experience in the public safety software industry required.

3+ years of salesforce experience preferred

Able to effectively prospect new clients

Exceptional people skills and an outgoing personality

Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills
