It is with a heavy heart that we learned of the passing of Chief Raymond C. Picard, a pioneer and leader in Fire & EMS and a dear friend of Deccan. Chief Picard dedicated more than five decades to the fire service and helped to shape emergency response as we know it today through his impactful contributions, including helping to develop the automatic aid system and his role as a founding contributor of what is now the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE). Chief Picard helped pave the way for innovation in Fire & EMS with his passion and dedication to serving others, and he will be greatly missed.
